ABEST21 International General Assembly was held on March every year at our member institutions. Agenda included items discussed at the Board Meeting; financial statements, draft budget, ratification of accreditation and Good Practice Award, and draft of partial amendment of ABEST21 Quality Assurance system.

ABEST21 International Annual Meeting 2023 was held for the third day straight from March 9 to 11, 2023 at “Inamori Hall”, Shiran kaikan, Kyoto University, Kyoto Japan.

The Annual meeting, which had held by online due to the Covid-19 pandemic, was held in person for the first time in three years and about forty representatives from ABEST21 International school members participated to the meeting. The meeting began with an accomplishment report for fiscal year 2022, a report on the financial statement, and a business plan for fiscal year 2023. ABEST21 International President Dr. Fumio ITOH granted Accreditation Certificates to representative of the accredited schools and crystal trophies to KAIZEN AWARD to the winning schools. Also, we held a memorial session for Vice President and Deputy Dean Emeritus Professor Dr. Ilker Baybars in honor of his passing in December 2022. At the end of the second day we had a School Presentation. The accredited schools and KAIZEN Award winning schools made their presentations. They introduced about their schools and shared knowledge obtained through ABEST21 Accreditation as well as their experiences through ABEST21 KAIZEN. On the last day, a study tour of Kyoto was held, visiting World Heritage sites such as Kinkakuji Temple, Ryoanji Temple, and Nijo Castle.
