The School’s Kaizen plans are excellent, and quality maintenance and improvement of education and research are very promising and excellent. Accreditation commences April 1, 2021 for a five-year period.”
PRT Comprehensive Comments:
The Master of Management Program (MMP) of Tel U upholds a mission of nurturing leaders, managers, and researchers who excel in Asia through teaching, research, and community service by utilizing the network and capability of stakeholders in digital-based industries. During the interview with the top officials of Tel U, a stepwise master plan at the University level was presented, which implies the development of IT-based international standardized education with an eventual goal of “entrepreneurial ecosystem excellence.” The MMP is positioned as one of the strategic programs in the grand design at the University level.
The curriculum is finely organized for the normal study plan, fast track, and direct track plan, based on the structural pillars of Matriculation, Foundation, Concentration and Contribution courses. This structural arrangement of courses also applies to Regular, Executive and Professional classes.
Key learning methods include case study and action learning where students, in groups, are required to find a solution to a problem. The program named CeLOE (Centre of e-learning and Open Education) developed by Tel U seems to be an innovative development, supporting 75% of the MM Program courses implemented in the blended learning class style.
The School has a fine set of facilities: lecture room, individual offices for its faculty members, and library, etc. for education and research. It is notable that six multimedia rooms and a laboratory are well equipped with an internet network allowing online activities and providing access to case study materials. The School further plans to develop online learning facilities in the form of engaged learning online (ELO) classes that could support blended learning.
It is expected that the School takes a positive step toward making both the faculty and student body more international and multi-cultural one. It is recommended that the School explores a collaboration network for education and research with international universities.
2. Good Practice in the Program Management Education

This title fully reflects the kind of management education that the School is assiduously working for.
3. Matters to be noted
The Program has one Professor and two Associate Professors out of the 16 full-time faculty members. Out of these 16 members, 14 members are academically qualified, and 2 members are practically qualified. This proportion seem quite unbalanced.
The mono-cultural composition of the faculty (all members being Indonesian) seems far from ideal if the Program is to embark on “organizing and developing an internationally standardized education” as upheld in FEB missions.
It is recommended that the School sets a special research period for its lecturers.
It is also recommended to develop some formal arrangement for having foreign lecturers on a regular basis.
