ABEST21 Accreditation Result of the Master of Accounting program at the Faculty of
Economics and Business, Universitas Diponegoro is as follows:
“The School’s educational and research activities have generally met ABEST21 Management Accreditation Standards and the quality maintenance and improvement of education and research in the aforementioned program are promising and good.”
Accreditation commences April 1, 2020 for a five-year period.

MAKSI UNDIP has clear vision and mission that are aligned with the university’s and Faculty of Economics and Business’ vision and mission statements. The characteristics of “COMPLETE” that must be possessed by the graduates clearly reflect the commitment of the Rector of UNDIP, Dean of FEB and the management team of MAKSI to produce high quality graduates.

MAKSI’s learning outcomes and goals have been clearly defined and translated into its teaching and learning process. This is proven by its semester teaching plan (RPS) or syllabi presented to PRT members. MAKSI’s strength (and uniqueness) lies in its Forensic Accounting concentration. We are convinced that it is becoming a Center of Excellence in Forensic Accounting Study in Indonesia. The activities of teaching, research and community services at MAKSI have also been supported by reliable academic and administrative systems which enable proper quality assurance.

MAKSI has a sufficient number of qualified professors and faculty members to maintain its teaching and research quality, thus assuring the implementation of improvement initiatives. Staff development has been planned and greatly supported by Rector and Dean.

Faculty members said that they receive funding for conducting research and community services. Yet, the amount of budget allocated for these activities needs to be increased. In this case, MAKSI should initiate activities other than teaching to generate revenue, for instance through cooperation or collaboration with external parties.

Alumni are very proud of being MAKSI UNDIP graduates. They recognize MAKSI’s teaching relevance and appreciate the progress of its research activities and facilities recently developed at MAKSI. For current research, the existence of Bloomberg Financial Market Laboratory greatly helps students and faculty members (and alumni) for getting data for doing financial and business research. Library services are also good and provide sufficient number of books and references for teaching and research. Yet, the campus facilities for the disabled have not been provided. In the next building renovation, as already been planned, MAKSI should accommodate this need.

It is one of the few programs offered in Indonesian universities, therefore it should serve as MAKSI’s uniqueness and strength. The program’s curriculum is also in line with the latest issues in accounting.

6. Matters to be noted

MAKSI must pay more attention to the following issues:

• Clarifying its action plans
• Admitting (more) foreign students, if possible
• Adopting PDCA cycle in its quality improvement system
• Making a safe room and developing moderation process validation for final examination
• Improving English capabilities for both faculty members and administrative staff
