International Conference 4-5 November, 2011
- International Symposium was held at The Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa, in Tokyo on November 4-5, 2011.
- On November 4 and 5, 2011, ABEST21 November Conference on Accreditation & Collaboration was held at Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa, Tokyo. Other than participants based in Japan, there were 31 participants including Deans and Vice Deans of Asian and EU business schools. We had six productive sessions, as follows:
- ・Session 1 - Case Studies: Evaluations were made on Feedback Report on points to consider specified in the Self-Evaluation Report by one overseas schoo, Accreditation Plans prepared by four overseas schools, and Kaizen Reports prepared by five accredited schools.
- ・Session 2 - Field Studies: At Canon Inc. Head Office various approaches for human resources development were explained. We toured the Canon Gallery.
- ・Session 3 - Special Lectures: Lectures on the education outcomes' evaluation were given by Dean Xiongwen LU, School of Management, Fudan University, and BAN-PT Executive Secretary Adil Basuki AHZA of BAN-PT, Indonesia.
- ・Session 4 - School Presentations: Features of education and curricula were presented respectively by Waseda University (Japan), Universitas Padjadjaran (Indonesia) and Universitas Gadjah Mada(Indonesia).
- ・Session 5 - Research Project 5: The final report was titled "Enhancing the Quality of Business Management Education in a Globalized World". Summary of the School Reports by the 14 participant schools were given.
